Time consuming but worth the time

The complete idiot's guide was really helpfull. I got 68 on the exam.
I have to say I spend good amount of time reading the book, because I read it twice. I also used wikipedia and sparknotes for some help with plots of certain famous novels. I would suggest reading "The complete idiot's guide to american literature" very carefully and it will be enough to get 50 on the exam.. but if your college requires more than fifty, you really have to read summaries of novels that are suggested in the complete idiot's guide.
