College Math Failure

My exam was a lot harder than anticipated even though I do suck at math. After 4 weeks of hard studying - at least 3 hours a day, including Sundays my score was 33!!!!! There were a lot of "fill-in" the answer type questions, at least every 6th or 7th question seemed to have been a fill-in answer, I spent a great deal of time trying to work the problems and pretty much had to guess the last 15 questions.

This exam is not easy, especially if you are Math impaired - like I am. I don't get math at all and if you don't need math credits don't do it, especially if Math is not your friend.

Sorry to hear it didn't go well Angelica, but don't give up! Did you do the free practice exams? If so, how did you do on those?

Another alternative for your math credits is StraighterLine and ALEKS. Both offer a very systematic approach to teaching you math, but I'd probably recommend ALEKS in your case. It goes much more into depth and, while slower, will give you a better grasp of the material if you're struggling. At the end of the course, you end up with the math credits AND a firm grip of math.
